A few days ago, NETWAYS relaunched NagiosExchange and moved the plattform to new server hardware. Finally, all the speed issued of the last month should be gone by now. A new catalog system provides much more features in the frontend and a fresh new design. All the existing projects have been imported into the new database and will be checked and resorted to get rid of any zombie records to keep the quality of the catalog up. New features and improvements will be implemented in the future. If you have any suggestions, please use the contact form on NagiosExchange.
The PNP Developer Team has just released their new version of the graphing addon.
The last version was mainly released for some improvements of the optional “Bulkmode with NPCD” (Nagios Perfdata C Daemon), interesting for huge Nagios installations to decrease check latencies without loosing performance data processing and some minor bug fixes.
For more information, screenshots and downloads just have a look at http://pnp4nagios.sourceforge.net/

The NETWAYS Nagios Konferenz held in Nürnberg, Germany ended yesterday, and from all accounts was a great success.
As was the case last year, there was a fantastic energy level at the conference. With over close to 220 attendees, there aren’t many other venues where so many Nagios users, contributors, developers and service providers can meet face to face, share their experiences, suggest improvements, and learn about future plans for Nagios, the plugins, and many addons.

I’m surprised that it didn’t happen sooner, but the hidden message in the Nagios/NSA t-shirt. was successfully decoded at the NETWAYS Nagios Konferenz yesterday.
Gerd Mueller from NETWAYS saw Sandro Vaz from OpServices with the t-shirt, snapped a photo of the barcode on his mobile phone, and decoded the image. I won’t disclose the hidden message here, so you can try and figure it out for yourself. Congrats to Gerd for his quick thinking and fast work!
The folks at NETWAYS asked me to pass along this information about the upcoming NETWAYS Nagios Conference in Nuremberg, Germany. For those of you attending the conference in person, I’ll see you soon!
